| Description |
English: The central basketball court of Manton Playground, part of Maple Grove Park, at Manton Street and 83rd Avenue in Briarwood, Queens. Pictured is the western hoop of the court, featuring a Parks Department steel backboard and a single-ring rim. Note that instead of a nylon net, the rim is affixed with a Permanet, a device made of steel cables. Compared to this photo, however, it seems that the net has torn and frayed. Even steel nets don't last in this city. |
