English: A bus stop in Horsell High Street, Horsell, Surrey, at the junction with Horsell Way. It had been served by route 28, however, from 1 September 2009 this was cut to only operate between Guildford and Knaphill Sainsbury's, rather than continuing to Woking via Goldsworth Park and Horsell as it had done previously. A last minute replacement was found in the form of route 97, which eventually ran from Woking to Knaphill Sainsbury's, covering where the 28 had been withdrawn from. The 28 does not run on Sundays, so its last day was 28 August 2009. 1 September, when this photo was taken, was the first day of the 97. This photograph shows passengers waiting for the first bus from Horsell to Woking, due at about 0930. Unfortunately the bus didn't actually turn up - however it did arrive 20 minutes later on the first journey from Woking - Horsell, due at about 0950. It had the driver and a senior member of staff on it, and from what I heard the bus got stuck on the first journey, hence it didn't turn up. The passengers seen here crossed the road and got on the bus in the opposite direction. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of the bus on the first day, which now I regret a lot! After a year's gap, as part of Phase 1 of Surrey County Council's Bus Review, route 28 was extended back to Woking from 28 August 2010, this time with Surrey CC support, and the 97 withdrawn. This bus stop is for services towards Woking.
