Description
English: Horseshoe Falls at Berwyn. The "falls" are in fact a horseshoe shaped weir that controls the level of water in the feeder to the Shropshire Union Canal (Llangollen Branch). Thomas Telford was the engineer on this section of the canal's construction and he managed to get a level for some 17 miles to New Marton Top Lock. 51956
