Nederlands: Gezicht op het Plein in Den Haag in 1639 met links het huis van Constantijn Huygens. Rechts van het huis de bijbehorende tuin achter een muur. Deze liep tot (rechts) de toegang van het Binnenhof, waarvan nog een stuk van bovenzijde van de Grenadierspoort zichtbaar (met leeg wapenschild) is achter het huisje dat deel uitmaakte van de tuinmuur. Geheel rechts de toegangspoort tot het voorhof van het Mauritshuis. Deutsch: Blick auf den Plein in Den Haag im Jahre 1639, mit links das Haus von Constantijn Huygens. Auf der rechten Seite des Hauses sein Garten hinter einer Mauer. Dies dauerte bis (rechts) den Zugang zum Hof, die eine Menge von der Oberseite des Grenadiers Tor sichtbar haben (mit leeren Armen) hinter dem Haus, die Teil der Gartenmauer war. Ganz rechts, das Tor zum Hof der Mauritshuis. English: View of the Plein in The Hague in 1639, with to the left the house of Constantijn Huygens. To the right of the house its garden behind a long wall. This wall continued until (to the right) the access to the Inner Courts, of which a piece of the top of the Grenadiers Gate (with empty coat of arms) can be seen above the house that was built as a part of the garden wall. On the far right, the gateway to the court of the Mauritshuis. Français : Vue de la Plein à La Haye en 1639, avec à gauche la maison de Constantijn Huygens. A droite de la maison de son jardin derrière un long mur.
