English: A housing block entrance on Republicii Street, on August 23, 1987. The 5 floors housing block of 10 apts. was completed in the 1982 spring. A window of apt. 2 is on the left's photo, the garage doors on the sides. The building and stair fences are made of plastered bricks, with brick slips facade and metal frame glass doors. It is located on the right of the creek flowing along the street; the mouth of its tributary Olarilor Creek is 100 m upstream and 1899-built Vigadó is 200 m downstream. The street has been successively called: Tyukόl-utca, Király-utca, str Regelui, str Stalin, str Republicii, str C Coposu. In all apts. lived owners. From R-to-L sitting: engineer Matei Berzanescu (1916-1999), lawyer Ioan Cighi (1909–1999), Teofil Mirghesiu (apt. 2 owner, teacher, born in Giurtelecu S on Oct 20, 1938); R-to-L standing: Maria-Rodica Mirghesiu (apt. 2 owner, computer programmer, née Ciobanca, born in Bocsa on July 1, 1946), Bogdan (dentist Iasi), Maria Velea (b. 1942, Antibiotice Iasi engineer), Anca Velea (b. 1967), Floare Berzanescu (1918-2005). The family owning apt 2 bought it on April 30, 1980 with a CEC Bank 15-year-mortgage. |
