English: From the 1884 edition of Burke's General Armory, the arms of Sir Hugh of Padina through the Hustons of Wigton/Wigtonshire to John Huston, Gentleman, immigrant ancestor of Sam Houston. (Houston of Castle Stewart, County Tyrone, Ireland) The arms are Stewart, but with chevron in place of fess, with added martlets.
Shield: Or, a chevron chequy Sable and Argent betwixt three martlets Sable. Crest: A sandglass Proper. The full achievement includes: Supporters: Two greyhounds Proper collared and chained Or. Motto: In Time |
