Description
English: https://wikimania2018.wikimedia.org/wiki/Program

In line with the new Wikimedia strategic direction concerning knowledge equity, we as a movement have an obligation to support minority languages, in order to empower marginalized communities to take part in the global commons, and to add their voices to the mix.

This session will outline the work that is going on in Norway with the Northern Sami language and in Canada with the Atikamekw language, and explore shared challenges and experiences, as well as those that are unique to each project, and propose some methods and workflows that other chapters, user groups and other concerned parties can learn from and take part in.
