Description

CLAY NATIONAL GUARD CENTER, Marietta, Ga., Sept. 29, 2011 - A series of M119A2 105 mm towed howitzers and the National Guard artillerymen operating them prepare for tomorrow's Change of Command ceremony between Major Generals William T. Nesbitt and James B. Jim Butterworth. The ceremony will also include a change of command for the Georgia Army National Guard.

Governor Nathan Deal will participate in the ceremony between the outgoing and incoming Adjutants General of Georgia in a large, joint military event. The Governor will also oversee the Change of Command ceremony between Deputy Adjutant General Joe Jarrard and outgoing Commanding General of the Ga. Army Guard, Maj. Gen. Maria Britt.

The ceremony will be held at the Clay National Guard Center in Marietta, Ga., Friday, Sept. 30, 11 a.m., and will last approximately one hour and be followed by receptions for Maj. Generals Nesbitt and Britt.
