Summary
editDescriptionHoxton, The Macbeth public house - geograph.org.uk - 984440.jpg |
English: Hoxton: The Macbeth public house This pub with a quite macabre inn sign is at 70 Hoxton Street. In the pediment are the words Hoxton Distillery, so I am presuming that this was the original name of the pub, although a Google search confusingly shows that the upper floors were recently occupied by an art gallery that called itself Hoxton Distillery. I assume that the gallery took the name that was so handily already on the premises, but no doubt someone can advise me if I am drawing the wrong conclusions entirely! |
