Čeština: Ing. Hugo Marom (původní jméno Meisl nebo též Maisl) (* 9. října 1928 v Brně – 7. ledna 2018 v Tel Avivu) byl izraelský válečný veterán a pilot, autor zlepšovacích patentů a podnikatel. V roce 1939 byl spolu se svým mladším bratrem Rudolfem Meislem odslán z Prahy záchranným transportem sira Nicholase Wintona do Anglie. Po druhé světové válce prošel (v roce 1948) v Československu leteckým (pilotním) výcvikem a jako židovský dobrovolník se krátce účastnil bojů za nezávislost Státu Izrael. V Izraeli od konce 40. let dvacátého století již zůstal a zabýval se aktivitami souvisejícími s letectvím.
English: Ing. Hugo Marom (native name Meisl or Maisl) (* October 9, 1928 in Brno - January 7, 2018 in Tel Aviv) was an Israeli war veteran and pilot, author of patents and one of entrepreneurs. In 1939, he and his younger brother, Rudolf Meisl, were sent from Prague by the rescue transport of Sir Nicholas Winton to England. After World War II, he (in 1948) in Czechoslovakia underwent aviation (pilot) training and as a Jewish volunteer briefly participated in the struggles for the independence of the State of Israel. Since the late 1940s he has settled in Israel and has engaged in aviation-related activities. |
