The photo shows the right lateral of an uncircumcised erect human penis of an adult male. The smegma is visible on the shaft of the rigid penis near the engorged glans due to a lack of washing for days. Contrary to the common belief, there is no evidence that smegma causes penile cancer. Instead, smegma helps keep the glans moist and therefore healthy, and act as a lubricant when the male copulates. The subject is a twenty-one-year-old Japanese male. |
