Description
English: Commonly known as the Coast Guard Station locally, it was originally built in November 1878, then rebuilt and 'modernized' in 1936 with marine railways to launch rescue surfboats, a vital function for boats and ships trying to enter or exit the often rough waters off Humboldt Bay.
