English: Hurleston Locks, Llangollen Canal, Cheshire. The Llangollen Canal joins the main line of the Shropshire Union canal at the bottom of the flight of four locks at Hurleston. This view shows the top gates of Lock No 2 and the short wide pound leading to the top lock (No 1) with its lock keeper's buildings. The four locks lower the water level by 34 feet and 3 inches (about 10.4 metres). |
