English: 180912-N-AO674-0072 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Sept. 12, 2018) Vehicles are secured for sea in the upper vehicle stowage aboard the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). U.S. Naval Forces Northern Command deployed Kearsarge, along with embarked elements of the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit and the Expeditionary Strike Group 2 command element, to be positioned to provide Defense Support to Civil Authorities from the sea in response to Hurricane Florence, should support be requested.
