Summary edit

Description
English: Hydraulic pumping engine, Ellesmere Port This is part of the National Waterways Museum and is in the upper engine house. The docks used hydraulic power for cargo handling plant and this was one of two steam engines in this house that supplied the water under pressure. I'm not sure what these docks used pressure-wise but 750 psi would be a fair guess.
