Since you are the only person with an observation under this species, I thought I would pick your brain on the H.turunda group. Your species here looks to have been pulled out of the H.turunda group – is that assumption correct? And if so can the assumption take one more step and assume that H.turunda then stands alone as a good species? ………..I’m seeing a lot of small Hygrocybe with decurrent gills with squamulous that are clearly brown.
