Description
English: Hygrophoraceae mushroom Ferndale park 2 pinks. Chatswood NSW, Australia. Unidentified, possible new species. Casually referred to as the "Ferndale double pink". Confirmed as Humidicutis, possibly new species by the New South Wales herbarium, July 1, 2017. Primary DNA testing suggests this mushroom may belong to the genus Gliophorus, further testing required (Meagan Hinds NSW Threatened Species). June 2021. According to D.W. Noble, this undescribed species may also occur at Blue Gum Creek, Chatswood and Sassafras Gully, Springbrook, New South Wales
