| Description |
English: The pitch is determined by both the speed at which the disk rotates and the number of holes which air passes through. Given a constant speed of rotation, air is directed to a a concentric circle of a different radius, thus blowing air through a different number of holes with each rotation.
This disk contains five circles, with 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 equally spaced holes each, thus producing a harmonic seventh chord on a root determined by the speed of rotation. |
