Summary
editDescriptionIAI Kfir RC-2 כפיר (468965156).jpg |
Two of the IAF's Kfir C-2s were transformed and fitted for aerial photography the the addition of a photographic nose. The nose houses a strategic reconaissance system which makes it possible for the plane to photograph enemy territory without ever leaving Israeli airspace, and without being exposed to enemy threat. The RC-2's nose houses a panoramic camera. The forward tip of the nose - which holds the camera's lens - can be rotated to different angles during flight, for diagonal photography.
