IAR-93 SC Vultur jet fighter-bomber at the Museum of Aviation in Košice

Summary edit

Description
English: IAR-93 SC Vultur jet fighter-bomber at the Museum of Aviation in Košice, Slovakia. Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-23UB jet fighter-bomber displayed at the Museum of Aviation in Košice, Slovakia. Manufactured by the Romania aviation company Avioane Craiova S.A. (in cooperation with IAR, Industria Aeronautică Română) between 1975 and 1992, it served only in the Romanian Air Force (the 67th Fighter-Bomber Regiment at Craiova and 49th Fighter-Bomber Regiment at Ianca). It was part of certain joint aircraft development efforts between Romania and former Yugoslavia since the 1970s, and can be considered a close cousin to the Yugoslav SOKO J-22 Orao. Less than 90 specimens of the IAR-93 were built and it was retired from the Romanian Air Force in 1998.
Slovenčina: Prúdové stíhacie-bombardovacie lietadlo IAR-93 SC Vultur v Múzeu letectva v Košiciach, Slovensko. Vyrábané rumunskou spoločnosťou Avioane Craiova S.A. (v spolupráci s IAR, Industria Aeronautică Română) v rokoch 1975-1992, slúžilo iba v rumunských vzdušných silách (67. stíhaco-bombardovací pluk v Craiove a 49. stíhaco-bombardovací pluk v Ianca). Bolo súčasťou určitých spoločných snáh Rumunska a bývalej Juhoslávie vo vývoji lietadiel, ktoré začali v 70. rokoch 20. storočia, a dá sa považovať za blízkeho bratranca juhoslovanského SOKO J-22 Orao. Postavených bolo menej než 90 exemplárov IAR-93 a typ bol v roku 1998 vyradený zo služby v rumunských vzdušných silách.
