English: IBM 6x86 P120+ CPU
Model 6x86 Architecture x86 Core frequency 100 MHz Manufacturing process 0.65 µm Transistor count 3000000 Release date February 5th 1996 IBM’s 6x86 microprocessors were manufactured using IBM’s .65 micron, five-level CMOS technology and designs from Cyrix. The names of IBM's new microprocessors reflect adoption of a new "P-rating" methodology for measuring microprocessor performance. P-rating has been introduced to allow end users to base purchases on relative PC performance levels, rather than just clock speed for the microprocessor. |
