Description
English: Indian Navy stealth frigate, INS Tarkash, participated in a joint exercise (MPX) with Hellenic Naval Ship Elli, a Kortenar class frigate of Greece, on 16 July 2022. Exercises conducted included basic communication, maneuvering and an advanced air defence exercise with two F-16 fighter jets of Hellenic Air Force.INS Tarkash is transiting to Latin America for celebrating India's 75th Independence Day in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, routing through the Mediterranean Sea before entering Port Valencia on 21 July 2022 for an operational turn around. During the passage through the Mediterranean Sea, the ship is scheduled to undertake MPX with navies of Italy, France and Algeria. These exercises and interactions aim at enhancing Maritime Cooperation, strengthening Bridges of Friendship and exchanging best operational practices.
