Description
English: INS Tarkash departed Port of Valencia on 24 July 2022 after a three-day visit during which the ship participated in several professional and social interactions. Captain Abraham Samuel, Commanding Officer INS Tarkash, called on General Juan Jose Soto, Deputy Chief of Staff NATO Deployable Ready Corps, Spain and Mr. Francesc Sanchez, General Manager, Port Valencia. The ship was kept open for visitors and organised yoga sessions at vantage locations, encouraging the local populace to join and and enjoy the benefits of yoga. Shri Dinesh Patnaik, Ambassador of India to Spain as the Chief Host and Commanding Officer Tarkash hosted local dignitaries and prominent personalities from Spanish Armed Forces, Port Valencia, local business houses and the Indian diaspora at a reception onboard. The Ambassador highlighted the importance of IOR to global trade and India’s contribution to safety and security of world trade as a responsible power. The Ambassador appreciated deployment of an Indian Navy ship to the region and encouraged more such visits in the future.
