Description In December 2017, the International Technical Information Exchange Meeting on best practices and challenges of in situ decommissioning (ISD) visited SRS. ISD is sometimes defined as entombing a contaminated facility in concrete. Meeting attendees included U.S. Agencies from DOE-EM, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and the Environmental Protection Agency; and international participants were federal and regulatory delegations from Canada, United Kingdom, Japan and International Atomic Energy Agency.
