| Description | I am actually at my pride of perch on the Norry itself, and this is my view of the track ahead. I have been hearing since 2011 that the Norries (Bamboo Train) will soon be abandoned in favour of regular, proper trains, something even Lonely Planet had mentioned in it's feature on NatGeo People. But as of April 2014 (this visit), there seemed to be no signs of the Norries going anywhere yet. (except to that tourist trap destination 20 min away!). Toll Railways, Australia, who had made grandoise plans for revamping Cambodia's railways seems to have hit a road block with heavy cost over runs, lack of political will and other typical third world problems in an extremely impoverished country.
