Summary edit

Description Another look at the structure by the riverside. The path below the river leads down to the river. Considering the long ramp on either side and the rather ornate canopy structure, I was wondering if this was a viewing gallery for use by the royalty of yore to watch boat races and stuff. There was no sign around, so I can only guess. And at any rate, this was not part of the tour anyway, so no explanations were given. We are actually on our own now, for a couple of hours, to wander around the ancient West Street (see subsequent pictures) before taking the bus to our next destination.
