Asteriacites lumbricalis is an ichnofossil (ichnotaxon) from Mesozoic sandstones. These are fossilized counterprints of resting marks made by brittle stars (Class Ophiuroidea) (Asteriacites quinquefolius are resting marks made by starfishes (Class Asteroidea)). The sample comes from the Triassic sandstone of Burgundy, France (2003).
