Description

Invigningen av familjen Kamprads nya höghus i Lund, Ideon Gateway, samlade omkring 400 personer på kvällen den 17 januari 2013. På bilden talar Per Eriksson, rektor för Lunds universitet. Till höger skymtar Mats Helmfrid (m), kommunstyrelsens ordförande i Lund. Ideon Gateway är det 19 våningar höga färgskimrande nya höghuset som ska fungera som den nya portalbyggndaden vid infarten till i Ideon Science Park i Lund. Diskussionerna om huset går tillbaka till 2004 då man pratade om Innovationernas hus på en annan plats på Ideonområdet och med en lägre och längre byggnadskropp. Ideon Gateway ägs av Ikano Fastigheter som äger cirka 60 procent av byggnaderna i forskarbyn Ideon (resten ägs av fastighetsbolaget Wihlborgs). När Ideon grundades 1983 var det slutligen Ikeas grundare Ingvar Kamprad som gjorde det möjligt genom att investera 109 mio. SEK i Ideons första byggnad. Allt sedan dess har familjen Kamprad varit med om att bygga ut Ideon genom fastighetsbolaget Ikano Fastigheter som ägs av familjen Kamprad.
