Description
Español: Iglesia dedicada a la advocación de San Roque y San Jacinto, fue construida a partir de 1900 por resolución testamentaria de la benefactora Sinforosa Rolón y Rubio, sobresaliente dama de la sociedad goyana (1814-1896), quien dedicó su vida a la caridad y a atender las necesidades de su comunidad como expiación de la muerte de su prometido en la Batalla de Pago Largo. La dirección de dicha construcción le fue confiada al ingeniero Pedro Coni (1856-1935), un distinguido profesional. Para el profesor Marcelo Daniel Fernández de la Junta de Historia de la ciudad el citado templo constituye una de las expresiones arquitectónicas de mayor relieve en su tipo que se encuentran en la provincia, en la que se amalgamaron inteligentemente varios estilos que se sucedieron en la historia del arte universal desde antes del Renacimiento.
