Description

As seen from my hotel in Quezon City, Manila, this church dominated the skyline and seemed a Postmodern twist on what a Christian church would looks like if you had to draw one from memory without the ability to refer to the internet... an exaggerated, clichéd, theme park or blockbuster confection. I tried to visit but was turned away by security... obviously not my day to be saved.

However, Wikipedia says, “INC churches can be uniquely identified for ‘exuberant use of fanciful forms and ornaments [and a] brilliant white facade whose silhouette is a cusped Gothic arch or a flattened Saracenic arch.’ The distinctive spires represent ‘the reaching out of the faithful to God.’ Prominent architects, such as Juan Nakpil and Carlos A. Santos-Viola, had been involved in designing INC churches while the Engineering and Construction Department of INC, oversees the uniformity in design of church buildings.”
