Description

A Igreja de São Cristóvão situa-se no topo das afamadas Escadinhas de São Cristóvão, no centro histórico da cidade de Lisboa, na mítica área da Costa do Castelo, onde se respira a verdadeira essência da Lisboa de outros tempos.

A primitiva Igreja terá sido construída em inícios do século XIII, em honra a Santa Maria de Alcamim, contudo terá ficado muito destruída devido a um incêndio, no século XVI. Em 1610 o Templo recebe profundos restauros e alterações, ficando pronto apenas em 1672.

A sua fachada apresenta um estilo Maneirista, típico do século XVII, com um portal no centro, encimado por um nicho com a imagem de São Cristóvão.
