Description
Português: Situa-se na Rua de São Francisco, na cidade da Ribeira Grande, sede de concelho na ilha de São Miguel, Açores, Portugal. Após a extinção das ordens religiosas no século XIX, esta igreja e o convento adjacente foram adquiridos pela Santa Casa da Misericórdia da Ribeira Grande, que aqui instalou o hospital em grande parte do convento. Atualmente, o hospital passou a ser o Centro de Saúde da Ribeira Grande. A igreja, hoje dessacralizada, alberga hoje o muito interessante Museu Vivo do Franciscanismo, cujo espólio recorda a importância da ordem religiosa dos franciscanos no povoamento da cidade e concelho da Ribeira Grande.
