Description
English: A hatt-ı hümayun written by Selim III to his Grand Vizier regarding the supply of meat to Istanbul. The Grand Vizier reports on efforts to ensure that the people of Istanbul will not lack in meat, as Ramadan is approaching. He writes that he has always strived on the the matter of meat supply, that following the Sultan's previous hatt-ı hümayun on white to have more sheep delivered to Istanbul, decrees were sent to the provinces, messengers of the court were appointed and dispatched and that people will not suffer from a lack of meat during Ramadan. Upon this memorandum, Selim III writes (on top, with a thick pen) his appreciation: "It has become my imperial knowledge. Do even more in the future. Let me see you."

Veziri, Ramazanın gelmesi nedeni ile İstanbul halkının et konusunda sıkıntı çekmemesi için, bir an önce İstanbul'a koyun gelmesinin sağlanması amacı ile daha önce beyaz üzerine hatt-ı hümayun yazıldığını, öteden beri et maddesinde gayret gösterildiğini, bu konuda Anadolu ve Rumeliye fermanlar yazıldığını, mübaşirler tayin edilip, gönderildiğini belirterek, halkın Ramazanda sıkıntı çekmeyeceğini açıklayan bir yazı yazmıştır. III. Selim, bu yazının üzerine (üstte kalin kalemle), vezirinin çalışmalarını beğendiğini ve onun çalışmalanı takdir ettiğini ifade eden bir hatt-ı hümayun yazmıştır: "Malum-ı hümayunum, oldu. Bundan böyle dahi ziyâde sa'y idesin. Göreyim seni".
