Ikpukhuak and his wife Higilaq, a shaman, were a southwestern Victoria Island Copper Inuit couple who 'adopted' ethnologist D. Jenness in April 1915 and took him with them to Victoria Island for seven months; Bernard Harbour, N.W.T. (Nunavut).
