Description Photo of the Illinois Central streamliner "The Green Diamond" in Milwaukee on April 24, 1936. Before going into regular service, the IC took the train on a publicity tour in April and May of 1936, similar to those by the Burlington for their early Zephyrs. Milwaukee was one of the places the train visited.

Author Illinois Central-photographer appears to be Dirsal.
  • Though the uncropped photo shows no copyright markings, I am unable to examine the photo's back.
  • A copyright search for renewals for the years 1963 and 1964 was done, in the event there may be an unseen mark.
  • The search was for anything pertaining to the Green Diamond or Illinois Central Railroad, the owner of the train. No information regarding any renewals was found.
  • Though I believe there was no copyright on the photo, I have chosen to license it as copyright not renewed.
