Description Götterdämmerung, act 3, scene 2: The body of Siegfried is borne away after he was killed by an act of betrayal while he was hunting. This drawing was based on the 1876 performance at the Bayreuth and was first published in Illustrirten Zeitung (Leipzig) 67 (September 1876).
