Description
Deutsch: Nach der christlichen Bibel zog Jesus mit seinen Jüngern nach dem Abendmahl durch das Kidrontal dem Ölberg entgegen. In einem Olivenhain - dem späteren Garten Getsemani - legte die Gesellschaft eine Rast ein. Während die Jünger einschliefen, überkamen Jesus Ängste ob seiner bevorstenenden Verhaftung. Und tatsächlich erschienen die Häscher; der Verräter Judas wies auf Jesus, und sie überwältigten ihn. - Olivenbäume können sehr alt werden, bis zu einigen tausend Jahren, und so könnten einige dieser dickstämmigen, verknorpelten Bäume Zeuge des Geschehens von vor etwa 2000 Jahren gewesen sein.
