Text Appearing Before Image: h of 2-in. iron pipe. This casting is 38 in. in lengthand is standard for all work, while the length of the pipevaries from 53 in. to 57 in. to suit the lean of the pole. Ascrewed flange is furnished at one end of the bracket for at-tachment to the pole. This is effected by a bolt at the top,which passes through the pole, and a lag screw at the bot-tom. The free end of the bracket is provided with a lugfor the reception of a s-g-in. stay rod. A section of one of the insulators is also shown; theyare of porcelain, and measure 5 in. in diameter and 5 in.in height. The insulator pins are in the form of a metalpipe, one end of which is screwed into the malleable ironcasting and the other flared to a bell mouth to conformwith the shape of the insulator. The insulators are at-tached to the pins by cement.
