e doubtless came from Mt. Ophir, whereit has been collected again. It has also been found on theMain Range, Taiping Hills, and G. Tahan, while outsidethe Peninsula it is known from Sumatra and Borneo. Onthe whole, this species is not so variable in the cutting ofthe pinnules as some others, but there is a rather unusualspecimen (Maxwells Hill, Haniff 9085) which has largedeeply incised pinnules; the sterile pinnules are up to 11by 2.3 cm., fertile to 9.5 cm. long, the basal segments in bothsometimes free and the other segments cut nearly to thecostae.
