In 1908 (June 3rd) Bro.Child married Julia Alleman, daughterof Benjamin Alleman and Sariah J.Starr. This union resulted in threechildren, namely, Julia, John A. andRichard H. Elder Child received a college educa-tion at the B. Y. Univeisity at Provo,graduating from the normal depart-ment and after that attended the Uni-versity of Utah and graduated withthe degree of A. B.He died July 9, 1932. CHRISTENSEN, Olive Derbidge, aformer member of the General Board of Relief Society, was born Oct. 10,1870, in Salt Lake City, Utah, thedaughter of Joseph Derbidge and JaneCook. She was baptized by her fatherOct. 10, 1878. In her earliest youthshe began taking an active part in theorganizations of the Church. Sheheld the position of secretary of thePrimary Association of the NineteenthWard, and later became president ofthe same. She was afterwards chosenpresident of the Y. L. M. I. A. of the

From 1896 to1911 she served on the General Boardof the Primary Association, as assist-ant secretary and secretary, and whileholding these positions she assisted inthe editorial department of the Chil-drens Friend. On May 25, 1911, shewas chosen as a member of the Gen-eral Board of the Relief Society, actingas secretary, holding that position un-til July 3, 1913, when she was releasedon account of ill health. She wasafterwards a member of the Salt LakeStake Relief Society Board for a fewyears. On Dec. 3, 1903, she becamethe wife of Andrew Hyrum Christen-sen, the son of Herman J. Christensenand Annie Catharine Poulsen. Herhusband was born May 18, 1863, at 90 LATTER-DAY SAINT Gunnison, Utah. He was connectedwith the Utah Construction Company,being one of the founders of the same.He was vice-president of the companyat the time of his demise, Sept. 22,1931.
