Summary edit
DescriptionImprejurimile Comuneĭ Olteniţa.jpg |
English: The surroundings of Olteniţa urban commune, in Ilfov County (nowadays Călăraşi County), Romania. The map shows Olteniţa's position in relation with the Danube and the Argeş River. Central Olteniţa was not yet a Danube port, but communicated with the river through the border post and quarantine facility (Carantina), which stood opposite to the Bulgarian city of Tutrakan (Turtucaia). To the north, the village of Atârnaţi and the Olteniţa rural commune. Chirnogi sits to the northwest, over the Argeş. |
