Summary edit

Description
English: Hay-on-Wye is a small market town in the historic county of Brecknockshire (Breconshire) in Wales. With over twenty bookshops, it is often described as "the town of books". On 1 April 1977, bibliophile Richard Booth conceived a publicity stunt in which he declared Hay-on-Wye to be an 'independent kingdom' with himself as its monarch
