A son arrivée à Paris, Hô Chi Minh déclare que la reconnaissance par la France du gouvernement cochinchinois rend la Conférence sans objet.

En Cochinchine, la guérilla a trouvé un chef : Nguyên Binh, commissaire militaire. Les politiques sont notamment Tran Van Giau, président du Comité du Nam Bô et le docteur Pham Ngoc Thach.

Le gouvernement de Hà-Nôi justifie la présence du Comité Exécutif Provisoire du Nam Bô par le fait que les accords du 6 mars ont figé l'état «de facto» jusqu'au référendum et qu'à cette époque le comité existait déjà, la preuve est que des officiers français avaient traité avec lui en octobre 1945 !

Le Viêt-Minh en Cochinchine est surtout implanté dans cinq zones : Plaine des Joncs, Centre-Sud-Est, Transbassac, Tay Ninh et Song-Be [D'après le Mémorial des Guerres d'Indochine à Fréjus].

6 JUIN 1946 : Émission par les Postes de l'Indochine de la série «Du Tchad au Rhin» (Y&T Indochine Nos 40/45) commune avec les autres colonies.
