"Kaufhaus Fanger Oschatzer Straße 15 1898 erbaute Benjamin Fanger (1860 - 1930 Dresden) auf der Oschatzer Straße 15 das Kaufhaus Fanger als Geschäfts- und Wohnhaus für seine Familie. Nach seinem Tod führte seine Ehefrau Frieda, geb. Wollenberg (1860 Gollub - 1943 Theresienstadt) zunächst das Geschäft weiter. Deren Tochter Selma Lotte Fanger (1891 Berlin - 1943 Auschwitz) heiratete 1918 Moritz Auerbach (1883 Tremessen - 1943 Auschwitz). Dieser arbeitete zunächst als Abteilungsleiter in einem großen Dresdner Kaufhaus, bevor er in die Leitung des Kaufhauses Fanger einstieg. Selma Auerbach führte unter anderem eine Strumpfwarenhandlung im Erdgeschoss des Hauses. Ab 1933 vermietete Frieda Fanger Geschäftsräume an die Hava - Haus der vielen Artikel GmbH, geführt von Max Brecher und Max Rosenbaum. Zum 1. April 1933, kurz vor Ostern, rief die NSDAP zum Boykott der jüdischen Geschäfte auf, das betraf auch dieses Geschäft. „Ein SA-Mann mit Gewehr stand vor dem Eingang, niemand kam herein, der Laden war leer. Der Chef forderte die Angestellten auf: „Nehmen Sie sich wenigstens vom Osterzeug!” Aber den Verkäuferinnen war der Appetit vergangen. Im Frühjahr 1938 wurde das Foto gemacht. Der Nazi-Obmann stellte sich nicht mit dazu und wollte auch die Angestellten davon abhalten. Dann erfolgte die Geschäftsübergabe an Casper & Co, die Arisierung. Die Gründe erfuhren die Angestellten nicht. Es hieß nur: „Ab morgen gibt es einen neuen Geschäftsführer.” ‚Danach gingen viele, auch ich. Es war eben nicht mehr so richtig.“ (Aus dem Bericht von Käthe Widemann, damals Verkäuferin bei Hava) 1941 musste das Ehepaar Auerbach in das „Judenhaus“ auf der Bautzner Straße 20 ziehen und Zwangsarbeit im Goehle-Werk leisten. Am 23./24. November 1942 wurden beide in das "Judenlager Hellerberg" und nach Auflösung des Lagers am 2./3. März 1943 nach Auschwitz deportiert. Im 2. Stock wohnte Elsa Fanger, die zweite Tochter (1893 Berlin - 1994 Australien), mit ihrem Ehemann Hermann Jacobsohn (1887 Carthaus/Preußen - 1967 Chile). Sie emgrierten später mit ihrer 1930 geborenen Tochter Ingeborg." |
