| Description |
English: Ingleborough Hill Fort. The Brigantes had a hill fort on Ingleborough, probably in the 1st Century AD. The circular stone foundations of a hut can be seen. Along the edge of the hill are the remains of the stone ramparts which were built all round the summit plateau. Several other hut circles remain, particularly on the eastern side of the plateau.
Penyghent can be seen in the distance. |
