Summary
editDescriptionInk Dot Applied to the surface of the tympanic membrane after 4 weeks.jpg |
English: A dot of India ink was applied to the centre of the surface of this right tympanic membrane four weeks previously.
Notice how the peripheral portions of the India ink have continued to disintegrate and migrate laterally over the surface of the tympanic membrane in a centrifugal fashion. This illustrates graphically the self cleansing mechanism of the surface of the tympanic membrane which is called "migration". |
