English: Heritage Open Days (a much smaller event this year) gave me a push to explore somewhere completely new - and less than 10 miles from home. This tiny 900 year old church was abandoned in 1678 and for hundreds of years was used as a barn by the neighbouring farm.

It was restored in 1935 by the owner of Holborough court, and the iron chandeliers came from that house when it was demolished. The traceried wooden screen was also added at that time - it probably came from another local church. The footprint is unaltered since it was built - although minor changes were made - including replacing the (probably smaller) norman chancel arch with a larger one during the second half of the 14th century, and replacing the thatched roof with red pantiles (in 1961).
