A Igreja do Carmo, em Olinda, foi devolvida aos cuidados da Ordem Terceira do Carmo no dia 4 de agosto de 2012. O templo estava sob a responsabilidade do Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico Nacional (IPHAN) e fechado durante 17 anos para reforma.
