This is looking south on Eighth; the closest building would be the Martinique (1908, Saunders & Lawton) at the southeast corner of Eighth and Union, followed by the Cambridge Garage (1923, Harold Ginnold) and the Loyal Order of Moose Hall (1921, John L. McCauley). The last building in the distance is the Van Siclen Apartments (1909, William Doty Van Siclen), one lot south of University Street. This block was obliterated when Interstate 5 came through and the Van Siclen and its neighbor were razed in the late 2000s to be replaced by a modern apartment complex.
