Description
View looking northwest across the intersection of of the North High Street and Gay Street. The left side of the picture features the Rankin Building, 22 West Gay Street. When it was built in 1915, it was billed as "the first absolutely fireproof building in the United States." Steward G. Gibboney IV moved his jewelry business, Diamond Exchange, into the building in 2004.
